About the Search Engine Academy
The Search Engine Academy is the first and largest organization offering SEO training in a classroom setting and certification in search engine marketing. The Academy was formed in 2001 and operates in Canada, the US, Australia and Asia. See all SEM training locations.
The Search Engine Academy of Western Canada offers an extensive curriculum developed by John Alexander and Robin Nobles, in conjunction with Academy instructors from all over the world. The Academy has been instructing students for years on the latest techniques in the world of search engine optimization and online marketing.
In Western Canada, the Search Engine Academy teaches hands-on SEO courses in Vancouver,Kelowna and Calgary. Training can be arranged in any location within BC and Alberta.

Muriel Archibald

Muriel began her search engine optimization career in the late 1990’s by teaching herself html, creating basic websites and experimenting with affiliate marketing. She later received formal training in HTML and search engine optimization and was hired by a search engine marketing firm.
After serving in management and instituting an SEO program at a second firm she launched her own company, SEMpro Search Engine Marketing, serving clients throughout the US and Canada.
Prior to her Internet marketing career Muriel studied journalism and spent many years working in radio as a news announcer, writer and reporter, moving from junior positions into management. She also spent time in corporate communications working as a research and communications assistant to the Mayor of Kelowna BC.
Shelly Coe
Shelly holds a certificate in advanced search engine strategies and has been instructed and mentored by John Alexander and Robin Nobles on advanced search engine techniques as well as effective methods of instruction.
Shelly began her internet marketing career by writing content. She is a successful freelance writer who has earned a reputation for creating imaginative, engaging online content that appeals to the reader and ranks well in search engines. Her focus has also expanded to include social media and blogs.
Shelly has an extensive business background where she was known for her training abilities and her communications and presentation skills. She has served in management for a North America wide corporation and later successfully launched her own business.

Kye creatively used digital and web technology - notably social media - in a successful career in Vancouver real estate. He is now a partner at DeBruyn Design & Marketing with the role of Digital Strategist.
Kye shares his knowledge with students of the Search Engine Academy of Western Canada as a guest instructor on using social media.
