In part of our SEM course we talk about the importance of determining your unique selling proposition or USP. Unique selling proposition definition: Having a service or product benefit that your competition cannot or does not offer. In short, what makes you stand out from the competiton? It can be critical to your online success, yet many business owners have a tough time coming up with a USP. Do you have one? Do you have several? Each one is an opportunity to build your business online.
In class, we get together in groups and brainstorm for USP ideas. Not only is it a lot of fun, it gets all of us thinking about what we do - or could do - to stand out. Sometimes we are so focused on doing business a certain way that we forget to keep an open mind and regularly think about new ideas. Don’t let that happen. You might miss some great opportunities if you do.
